🐝🍯 All In for Ag Education Week – Park City Elementary 🍯🐝

Students at Park City Elementary learned about the importance of pollinators and honey production during Ag Education Week! From understanding how bees help grow the foods we eat to exploring how honey is made, students got a sweet look into the world of agriculture.

🦆🌎 All In for Ag Education Week – Hiseville Elementary 🌎🦆

Students at Hiseville Elementary explored the fascinating topic of wildlife migration during Ag Education Week! From learning how and why animals migrate to seeing real-life examples, students gained a deeper understanding of the natural world around them.

A highlight of the day was a visit from Corey and his dog, Moose, who demonstrated real-world animal behavior and added an exciting, hands-on element to the lesson. 🐾

Of course, no visit to Hiseville is complete without spotting the one and only porch goose, Mr. Pickles 🦆—a school favorite!

Any middle school girls interested in playing soccer this season are invited to attend upcoming open field sessions at the Glasgow-Barren County Soccer Complex. Open Field Schedule March 12 — 3:30–5:00 PM March 16 — 3:30–5:00 PM March 17 — 3:30–5:00 PM Tryouts: March 19 at 3:30 PM Players should come dressed in athletic attire with shin guards and cleats, and a current sports physical is required to participate in open fields and tryouts. Interested in growing produce that could be purchased by Trojan’s Table and served in school meals across our district? We’d love to talk with you!

We will be set up at the Wellness in Action Night at Barren County Middle School on March 17th from 4:00–7:00 PM. Stop by our table to learn more about how the program works, the impact student-grown produce can have on our school meals, and how you can get involved.

We’ll be there to answer questions, discuss produce-growing ideas, and help students begin developing a plan for produce that could be grown and purchased by Trojan’s Table.

Together, we’re growing the future of school nutrition right here at home. 💛🥗🌾
